About this deal

BOP opens with an earthy, vegetal truffle note, similar to the real thing as in the EDP. It is richer and longer-lasting here, complemented to perfection by the boozy rum note. It is quite balsamic. The opening is super boozy and dark, with rum and chocolate at the forefront, as you wear it that side quiets down, becoming overall a sweeter, musky floral, the Ylang-Ylang gives it this almost "sunny" quality that I feel like saves it from being exclusively for the cold weather. This creamy middle still has significant depth though, it's not just a floral, it's got an almost gourmand aspect to it, in the sense that you want to it, but without ever smelling like actual sweets. For the base you get this very nice, earthy, a bit smokey earthy patchouli that just smells NICE.

I may just be too much of a basic bitch to appreciate this and maybe it will grow on me...but as of right now, I'm glad I sampled first. If you don't like the EDP, you will hate this. And if you own the EDP, it would be pretty redundant. Definitely more feminine to my nose, but then again the original is just barely unisex for me... Many people also smelled the truffle (mushroom) note, which has a musky, ambery, animalic scent, and even though my nose didn’t detect it, it doesn’t seem yours won’t.The first spray gives you a fruity-floral and earthy mixture of several different notes that you cannot really detect individually. It is a strong and bold opening, very prominent and unique to the level we can call unconventional. One of the best in my collection, and in winter this is my first choice for an important event. It smells so dark, so earthy and so complex and classy, evolves into something different by second. The truffles, the juicy winter fruits, the booze. An open buffet for your dark soul. Eternal longevity, one of the longest lasting in my collection and in first couple of hours it will make its presence felt in a room full of people. Stands out. Do not apply more than 4 sprays though. It may be too headache inducing on other people. The one big difference is that on my skin this parfum stays closer to the opening and mid versus the OG. After a very long time the original dies down on my skin to a pleasant sweet vanilla whereas the parfum retains more of it's character.

The majority of people are used to applying numerous sprays of the perfume, thinking it will make the fragrance last longer and project louder. A number of sprays that are needed for a fragrance to open properly and give you its best performance vary from scent to scent. This signature unisex fragrance has provided individuals with distinct, sophisticated character ever since its debut in 2006. A sweet amber-vanilla accord emerges as it dries down, with soft spices and booziness remaining as it fades. Sillage is fairly strong and longevity is long-lasting. Ideally worn during autumn/winter. The projection is also satisfactory, in the first 2 to 3 hours it evolves beautifully around you, and with the silage being strong as well, people a few feet away from you will have no issue detecting it.

Striking since its inception, this unisex fragrance continues to envelop all genders in a world of its own. The left side of the shirt, that probably was rubbed with my left wrist sprayed with BO Parfum, is smelling heavenly (truffles, vanilla, chocolate and liquor). The whole appearance reminds of a luxurious, boss type of vibes, with its minimalistic yet mysterious look — it will sit beautifully on your bedroom shelf.

For this scent, I get deep, dark, EARTHY chocolate. It's very rich and dense which translate to luxurious and opulent instead of candy-sweet and playful chocolate. There is definitely a fruity accord to match, and again, it's done in a way where it's rich and decadent. Just adding a hint of sweetness to the deep earthy chocolate. It never goes full gourmand since it does smell like you've unearthed this chunk of dark chocolate from under an old tree and it still has all the soil around it. You wouldn't really want to eat it. All in all, even though I don't get a huge difference between the parfum and the EDP, I'm not terribly disappointed. Now I have about 200 ml instead of only 100 ml of a fragrance that's really enjoyable to my nose! 😊👍 It’s a professionally blended composition that requires strong, blending skills that Tom Ford tends to invest in its high-quality scents. I see why people are saying this smells very similar to the original. I have the drydown of the edp on one wrist and the drydown of the parfum on the other. They are, in fact, stress inducing-ly similar. Having said that, there are differences. I'm giving myself a headache continually sniffing both wrists, but sacrifices must be made for the fragrance-loving community. Besides the temperature limitation, I picture it as an accompaniment to a romantic but luxurious dinner date or even when going to the club or a bar where the party is at. It is a rich and sexy scent, it has a dark aura that would work best for night occasions, but some days, formal events would fit as well.

Enter the BO Parfum. First wow is for the bottle, shiny golden screaming for a Hollywood star vanity. I compared the two of them side by side (one tiny spritz on each wrist) earlier this morning, and it was immediately apparent that the Parfum was behaving better. It's rounder, creamier and more chocolatey, it wants to seduce you. Most of the time I dress so called "old money" or dark academia-esque, goes with this style also due to earthiness and rum notes IMO. Yeah, despite the funky smell of ylang-ylang. I guess this could be categorized as dark academia partying fragrance. It is dark/gothic enough to go with the athmosphere but it is loud with a twist to it. Smells more educated, smoother compared to the EDP.
