About this deal

Cut both pieces into stars of equal sizes. Do be aware that your child may have to sit down at some point so don’t make the stars so big that this becomes difficult. If not, you can make a plain white tunic from a piece of fabric and tie it with a tinsel belt, or you could even dress your child in a long white t-shirt or white dress with some tinsel accessories.

There are certainly many places you can buy animal outfits which can be used for Nativity plays, but another really simple, cheap way to get into the role is with a simple headband, tail and face paints. You'll need a large piece of light blue fabric – about a metre and a half – for the dress, but you can always use more or less depending on your child's size. Fold the sheet in half and cut a line in the fold for your child’s head to fit through. Don’t cut too far, or else it will slip over their shoulders. Try it on – you may need to cut along the bottom if it’s too long.

To make your angel's halo, you can simply use a plain headband with some silver or gold pipe cleaners. Easy! Find more steps on how to make a halo here.
