About this deal

Over the years we have used more gardening gloves than we can count but just recently we set out to find the best gardening gloves. Our original search started out by comparing around 35 pairs of gloves. We have now narrowed our list down to just 10 pairs of gloves, still a big list but each pair has its pros and cons. These Gold Leaf leather gloves are waterproof and durable; we recommend them for gardeners looking for real style and luxury in their gardening experience. These ladies gardening gloves provide maximum protection against nettles, thorny roses and shrubs, undergrowth and brambles. This amazing pair can also be used for endless household chores owing to its versatility and durability. The leather gloves are easy to clean and maintain as well. Our recommendation

We prefer for our gloves to simply be allowed to air dry naturally between uses. When dry, gloves can be clapped together to remove loose dirt. However, if they become very caked with mud, we can recommend the occasional hand wash in a bowl of warm soapy water (few drops of washing up liquid is perfect), then a good rinse under a running tap and then most importantly of all, hanging to drip dry naturally (NOT ON ANY HEAT SOURCE). Even those of us who like to get our hands in the soil have times when a pair of gloves is essential. Because the top of the gloves is made from spandex, they can be uncomfortable if they get wet on the top, however for most gardening jobs in dry weather, they are great. Well worth the extra cost compared to cheaper pairs of gloves.

Something we feel is worth mentioning is that these gloves have been tested to EN388 and proven to have high levels of abrasion resistance, blade cut resistance, tear resistance, and puncture resistance. Part of the award-winning range at the 2016 GIMA Awards in the Garden Clothing and Gifts category, these gloves are perfect for a wide range of tasks including bramble cutting, digging, gentle pruning, raking, weeding, watering plants and more. Our recommendation If you are looking for gloves that offer a remarkable grip, these Briers Advanced Grip and Protect Gloves are worth considering. They are very good for holding tools thanks to the silicone dots on the fingertips combined with anti-slip patches on the palms.

Cotton: These versatile gloves in print and style are easy to get. They are usually lightweight. They are especially preferred in hot and humid climates as they are breathable and flexible. The downside to these is that they offer minimal protection from sharp objects and not very water proof. In general we advise avoid cotton gloves.Overall you will find them very comfortable, we feel it would be nice for them to be available with brown leather rather than white, and we aren’t sure why they would use white leather in the first place.
