About this deal

We operate an ongoing programme of improvements to all aspects of our service, including our “green” credentials, which all helps ensure we provide quality and relaxing holiday breaks … short or long.

Sean Hawkins Meadow - Small species rich wet meadow by a stream and a small area of woodland Cumbria Wildlife Trust Inland, both the Northumberland National Park and Kielder Water and Forest Park are sparklingly superior spots for stargazing: the skies above Kielder are the darkest in England and the area and Northumerland National Park were given Gold Tier Dark Sky Park status in 2013. By day, hike, bike or horse ride around either park, land some sea trout among several other scaly species, or just eat your way around Northumberland local produce in the towns and villages... You may park your car only by tent or caravan. Speed should be kept to an absolute minimum and pedestrians and cyclists must be given priority.Ashes Pasture - An idyllic location in Ribblesdale adds to the charm of this diverse grassland nature reserve. In spring and summer, the grassland is dotted with orchids and other flowering plants and buzzing with bumblebees. Outside, the private garden area is equipped with outdoor furniture, barbecue facilities, and parking space for two cars. Our timber-built lodge provides more than 1,800sq ft of living space divided into en-suite double and twin bedrooms, a large fully-equipped kitchen and a light and airy living area, complete with an entertainment system and glowing log-effect gas fire. As well as this being our top of the range accommodation, we’ll try our best to satisfy any special requests that you may have to make your break even more memorable. Vicarage Meadows - This 3.6 hectares of wildflower rich meadow and wet pasture is set on the side of a hill in the Irfon valley and lies adjacent to the Nant Irfon National Nature Reserve. Look out for the yellow flower spikes of bog asphodel in the damper parts.

Red Hill - This grassland nature reserve is probably an ancient fragment of Lincolnshire Wold down land, and there is a rich assemblage of chalk plants here and in the quarry. Look out for localised species, such as felwort, yellow-wort, basil thyme, kidney vetch and pyramidal and bee orchids. Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. Children are to be supervised at all times so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others. Parents must not let their children play alone in the wood. Birdwatchers worth their salt will know the Northumberland coastline as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a prime location to see seabirds, waders, wildfowl and other fluttery creatures. Holy Island is a top spot for wildlife watching – the island and its mudflats make up the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve – but most naturalists in these parts take their binoculars to the Farne Islands, the strikingly scenic home of puffins, terns, rabbits and several thousand grey seals (go Farnewards from November to December for the mighty experience of watching them pup).
