About this deal
Jonathan Bryan has severe cerebral palsy, a condition that makes him incapable of voluntary movement or speech. However, there is a sense of admiration and wonder as you read through Jonathan's tale, realising the extent to which one) we take communication for granted and two) the depths in which an individual will take to be able to communicate efficiently.
For some time he was placed in a school for children with special educational needs, which did not provide the kind of mental stimulation that Jonathan needed and wanted.
It is the fascinating memoir of a twelve year old boy with cerebral palsy, written using only his eyes (hence the title).
In this chapter, Jonathan’s world is expanding through a 500-word story for BBC Radio 2, the writing of poetry, and holidays, along with the inevitable frustrations and setbacks.
