About this deal

Adjust the wires to lay as you prefer. You can loosen some of the spirals to make them appear longer or tighten others to make them shorter. You can lay some closer to the wreath or pull some further away to create a larger 3D effect. If you want a simple Patriotic Bandana wreath you can finish here. If you want to elevate it, continue with adding the shooting stars. Adding the Shooting Stars You’ve seen it, the American Flag. On the upper left, a blue rectangle with white stars, and red and white stripes adorning the rest of the body. How, though, did the colors of our flag come to be? Where did the stars and stripes come from? Red and White Stripes Consider planting red, white, and blue flowers in pots in your outdoor space to celebrate all three patriotic holidays, and for a lively touch of color. Inside There are many reasons why we might choose to use the colors of the flag for patriotic reasons, but one of the most common is that those who love to decorate for occasions will often use colors to draw a connection between their decorating choices and the occasion.

You may have seen other red, white, and blue patriotic bandana wreaths online. But ours is different! Many people also just love the look of this patriotic color combination, so it’s no surprise that you’re going to see it all over the place during these National holidays. Where did this color combination come from, and how did we wind up using it on everything from decorative pillows to banners, to our favorite t-shirts? Take the 25-inch long ribbon, fold in half, fold in half again, give it a little pinch, and add to wreath tie. Step 13 Anywhere you go in the United States on Memorial Day or Independence Day, and even on Veteran’s Day, you’ll see the bright, cheerful combination of red, white, and blue adorning homes, businesses, and even clothing. It’s the way that Americans all across the country show their patriotism and pride in this great country. Do this with each color spray paint that you want to use. I did it three times with red, white and blue spray paint.

Show some love for the colors of the season by adding a red, white, and blue wreath or swag to your front door. If you’re crafty, make your own. If you’re not, there is no shortage of them out there. You can even find options that are made to your specifications, so you can show your love of country in your style. This wreath is perfect for patriotic holidays like July 4th, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Flag Day. You’ll be able to use it for more than a month each year! Many people leave it on their front door all summer long!

So, it may just rest that the true designer of the American flag as we know it will remain a mystery for now. What Do the Colors of the Flag Mean? Our wreath is made with a flat wire floral wreath, which gives it a flatter look than a round foam wreath. This gives more dimension to the fabric of the bandanas. This also makes it more convenient to hang and store, and it takes up less space when it is time to put it into storage. Since we used a wire floral wreath frame, it does not require a hanging loop. It can be hung directly from a standard wreath hook. Now you can hang your wreath and enjoy! In case you missed a step or two, here are the instructions for the wreath. You can also print out the instructions with the tutorial card at the end of this post. Step 1

I used the red white and blue star wreath as the focal point for my patriotic mantel. I hung the wreath on top of a frame that has blue and white gingham fabric inside. To easily hang the wreath, I took a piece of white thread, wrapped it around the top of the wreath and then tied it into a large loop. I looped the other side of the thread over the finials at the top of the frame. If you are using a square frame, you can take the other end of the thread loop and put it over the top of the frame and secure it with tape so the wreath will hang in the middle of the picture frame. Add Patriotic Elements Want to do more? There are many different options when it comes to bed and bath linens that you’re sure to find something that gives you the bright, cheerful summer feeling. Get a 2.5″ ribbon and cut (4) 26-inches long. Then, get another 2.5″ ribbon and cut (4) 25-inches long. After you’ve done those two, get 1.5″ ribbon and cut (4) 24-inches long. Add patriotic pillows to outdoor seating, just make sure that you choose indoor/outdoor materials, or will have them in a sheltered space.
