About this deal

This is AMAZING. It's for when you want to wear Sauvage EDT but to somewhere where you'd have to dress a little bit better like a high end club or a fancy dinner party. Short version: Asad is a less heavy, less refined, but way more flexible fragrance than Elixir that is worth giving a test run if you like Elixir. Also, if you don't want to pay for or can't afford Elixir, Asad is literally 95% cheaper.

Blind and you won’t realize the longevity until you extra spray it on a fabric and leave it in a room for a day and find it to linger around your nose in a good proximity. Or is it an attempt to create a wear-resistant vegan fruit leather from fruit peels, spices, extracts and chemical additives? I shy away slightly from wearing this fragrance as it has the best projection from a fragrance out of my collection so far. I worry that I’d nauseate my friends around me, even though they love the smell. The projection is brilliant and I’ve received the most amount of compliments and notice from wearing this fragrance out of any other. Some people can smell this from several feet away. There are several Lattafa fragrances which are 1) highly regarded; but 2) not much cared for by me. Khamrah comes to mind immediately. However, the difference between Khamrah and Asad is that I can see *why* Khamrah has the rep and following it does; it might not be my kind of scent profile*, but damn, does Lattafa do a great job with it. I've smelled more than enough fragrances to appreciate the good ones even when they don't mesh with my tastes. Asad, though? Sorry guys, I've tried and tried but I can't get with it. Perhaps my bottle got baked in transit, I don't know.If you’re torn between Rave Now and This scent go with whichever you find cheapest they are essentially identical, except the bottle. I keep seeing Aventus thrown around as comparison, I think you guys are off on that by a pretty big margin. We gotta get away from saying all pineapple is Aventus it’s like saying all Nikes are Jordans. Regardless it’s really good, really cheap, and mass appealing! Performance is very good. I applied liberally after shower and got 10 hours noticeable performance out of it. Projection is about 1.5 arms length although I do prefer more intimate projection but 2 people immediately noticed at that range and I received one compliment. Can't speak of sillage. The base has a powdery and spicy vanilla undertone, not sweet or gourmand. A warm amber serves to create a sense of cosiness. The initial burst of balmy skin undertones transforms into a tamed powdery skin. No talcum powder from iris or violet leaves, but a coumarin dustiness. The oud is now just a memory that slowly fades away.

SMELL: Pineapple Jasmine soap. Car Wash air freshener. "High-end" dog cologne from groomers. Pineapple Fresca. This makes me feel like a serious trustworthy man with all of my goals in life on a straight line and I'm not here to waste my time. Quite the contrast to the vibe of Sauvage EDT where it feels like you're a Chad who'd rail her in a parking lot and then drive away on your Honda Civic without her. But the zingy spicy freshness is definitely the same for both of these perfumes but that's where the similarities end. The bottle shape and design isn't too bad especially if you remove the gold bow tie ornament. It's easy to remove. It's has a nice feel and weight to it and it doesn't come across as cheap. If Lattafa changed out the gloss gold for matte or brushed gold, silver or even bronze they'd have a more mainstream product on their hands. Overspray the shit out of this if you’re brave enough to buy it and not stand the burned plastic smell that stays for 2-3 minutes.Leans more mature, a little more mature than elixer. Longevity and silage are still above average in my opinion. Elixer I get 12+ hours and can smell it in my clothing days later. At a point, it’s asif the sweetness is toned down, and you’re left with a matured, unapologetic dark patchouli and a low dose of Vetiver, mixed with a noticeable woody note. But then again, it becomes sweet. When it starts to dry down, that’s when I get a shadow of the Sauvage DNA—I feel there’s ambroxan in this fragrance. It’s pretty obvious. Is it beige synthetic leather, fresh from the factory and treated with natural saffron and other substances to appear more natural, or is it a natural, sweet organic leather that has unfortunately been pimped out with synthetic apricot extract? Some fragrance implementations often fail because of the components used. Here, most likely also a question of price.

On the deep dry down, it starts to mellow down into this kind of smokey and creamy sweetness with a very noticeable Amber accord. sapeur1999 I think the majority here, on social media, and on YouTube all agreed that Dior Sauvage elixir is more refined, has unbelievable performance (though not necessarily needed) and Asad isn't completely an identical scent (could be better)... many seem to prefer Asad due to its balanced combination of decent quality, good performance, and affordable pricing... It's quite clear down in the comments! This isn't my favourite fragrance. It's not the best thing I've ever put my nose on etc. etc., but what it is is a sweet, decent performing fragrance that is WAAAAAAAY better than it has any right to be for the price. That's what makes it incredible. Raspunde

Asad offers remarkable value, presenting quality that surpasses its price. Yet, a note of caution: this fragrance is a complex composition that may not cater to the novice. Its evolution on the skin is a process to be savored, rewarding the patience of a fragrance aficionado. As such, it may not be the best blind buy — those new to fragrances might instead opt for easily accessible popular mall fragrances like Paco Rabanne's 1 Million. In essence, Asad is a reminder that the finest scents, like life's most profound experiences, require time and belief to fully reveal their splendor. The drydown is a bit different from Elixir but the opening smells exactly like elixir, and with probably my favorite looking bottle in my collection (it's simply beautiful) I don't think I have any cons apart from the drydown being less spicy than elixir. SIGHT: The Sun by Edvard Munch. Wheatfield with Reaper and Sun by Vincent Van Gogh. Sunflower New Mexico 1935 by Georgia O'Keeffe. Michelle Williams. Goldie Hawn. Monarch butterfly. Within an hour or so it morphs into a mixture where the generic designer base takes over and part of the synthetic pineapple smell stays lingering around, and then stays that way for a long time. Do you sometimes smell on the sprayer of a bottle of and think "ugh, this could be anything"? That's how the dry down smells. The strongest component in it is the synthetic that people associate with saffron, a relatively dry and powdery lightly spicy melon scent. I suppose many people are noseblind to it and that's why they think the pineapple lasts a long time. If you overspray this, the pineapple should remain strong for longer. Unfortunately, that means that the poor people around you who can smell that awful base accord and synthetic oud will suffer a lot.
